DNS - The Domain Name Service - is fundamental for the operation of the Internet, it converts the “domain names” like “magma-soft.at’ into the respective IP-number of the computer responsible for the domain. Without a properly working DNS, none of our operations on the Web is feasable.

We use tinydns and dnscache for all our DNS services, although a lot of the Internet related software we use internally uses the more traditional “resolv” library.
